From navigating tires over sandy beaches, through slickrock canyons, over boulders, up waterfalls, across deserts, up into high mountain forests, to catching waves in-between river rocks, deep in canyons, and on the salted H2O seas with all sorts of culinary adventures in between, one needs to fuel that passion and play with nutrient dense, delicious foods, and liquid libations to keep on going.

A Massachusetts-born, first-generation Italian-American, DeNittis comes by his rich food heritage honestly. Inspired by the boldly crafted, artisan flavors of familial dishes, canning, hunting, fishing, and off-highway adventure this entrepreneurial professional chef brings the passion and the play. 

DeNittis, no stranger to the culinary outdoor adventure world, having publishing many stories and recipes on www.4x4wire.com (since closed) under the pen name Chef Mark, Trail Bites series from 2000 to 2007. Then authoring Jeep Grille Adventures: Camp Kitchen & Cookbook in 2007. Finally finishing as Food Editor/Culinary Director for www.JPFreek.com Adventure Magazine (the official digital publication of Jeep Jamboree USA), he was instrumental in food related article contributions from 2007 through 2012 before putting up the proverbial pen. 

DeNittis is recognized as a leading industry expert, has been featured in numerous professional industry trade publications and cookbooks; Cooking with America’s Best Butchers Marissa Guggiana, Sausage Making for Dummies Tia Harrison, Eat Ink: Recipes. Stories. Tattoos Birk O'Halloran, Daniel Luke Holton, and The Great Ranch Cookbook 1996, by Gwen Ashley Walters to name a few.

DeNittis continues to be actively engaged in his career while, in his spare time, carrying onward adventure exploration, journaling, and storytelling, as if you were along for the ride in the passenger seat.
